Hog Trough's Deep Fried Hot Dog-Wickenburg AZ

If you are ever traveling through Wickenburg, AZ and want to try some BBQ, that also has other fun menu items, the Hog Trough would be your place!
I like to try new things, not the kinda food you can get anywhere, so when I saw...The Original Hog Dog was DEEP FRIED I had to go with it. It seemed like something you would see Guy from Diners, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives trying. PLUS its wrapped in BACON!
It was really good, not greasy like I thought it might be. There waffle fries were pretty amazing too!

Heels & Halters~ Fashion Friday

This past Saturday we went to a benefit gala, we actually were able to enjoy ourselves since the heifer we were watching calved the night before(another post on that later). I just knew we were going to have to leave every few hours to go and check during the gala :)

Any way, back to the fashion part. I was pretty excited to be able to dress up and wear one of those cute little prom-ish dresses (that I never have a place to wear them to). So, I dress up, spend almost an hour on my hair, and put on my NEW stinkin cute heels....then hopped in the truck, looked down and this is what I see >>>>>

>>>>> Heels, calf bottle, Coach wristlet, ad for vaccines, fun & funky heels and halters!

He looked over as I was taking a picture, and asked what the heck I was doing?!
I told him "Just look, we might be country but we can still be classy!"
I wouldn't change it for the world!

The old and young of Agriculture

When I went the the Kansas Junior Livestock Show I saw this scene......... it made me smile!
It is great to see both generations involved in agriculture. I believe it is important for the young to have a role model to look up to and learn from. However, on the opposite side there is much for the older to learn from generations behind them. With respect for each other you can learn so much!

"So God Made a Farmer"

I hope each and everyone have seen the Dodge commercial by now that aired last night during the big game. I was happy to wake up and see my friends have been posting this to my Facebook wall, just to make sure I hadn't missed it, they definitely know me & how much I love agriculture!

This was definitely the highlight of the Super Bowl in our house! The familiar voice of the late Paul Harvey reciting his speech he originally gave at the 1978 Future Farmers of America  (FFA) national convention, the words and images brought us pride and to tears.

When you watch the video on Ram’s website, and share a badge, the Ram Brand will make a donation to National FFA Organization (up to $1 million) and assist in local hunger and educational programs. My friend Kelsey did a great job expressing what this meant for agriculture.

Share this with your friends and family AND make sure you also vote for this commercial on YouTube.

It made me proud to be directly involved in agriculture and that my family has been all their life!
