THE wedding cake

Here is what she wanted the cake to look like:
I had it on my fridge to remind me everyday!

Here is the process-------

Of course the cake had to be leveled. I won't bore you with every detailed step!

My grandma glazed them so they would be easier to frost later.

12 cake mixes (easier and quicker than from scratch) I ended up getting compliments on the cake saying it was better than the average wedding cake!

Used ready made frosting for the sheet cakes

This one got a little brown, so I designated it for the dance :)

The church kitchen seemed full of cake. I think there were 9 sheet cakes.

DRUMROLL.................................................................

The cake was covered in hot pink, black, and crystal rhinestones.

  1. Good job on the cake Lori- Isn't it fun to see the cake come together- we made a layered cake for my parent's anniversary party a while back- I don't know if I would want to be in charge of a wedding one though!

  3. Thank you ladies! It was a great experience and great to see the finished product and hear people talking about it, and asking me questions. The main reply was "no, I won't make yours, your sister's, your daughter's......."
